Description Compatible with: (outboard) engines with 12V alternator with at least 15A charge current. Works with both lead-acid and LiFePO4 starter batteries (minimum capacity of LiFePO4 battery is 50A). Compatible with all known outboard brands (e.g. Honda, Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki etc.). Optimal charging profile: provides the correct charging profile (charge voltage and current) to safely charge your Rebelcell 12V AV battery. Starter battery discharge protection: The Range Extender monitors the voltage in the starter battery and will only start charging if voltage starter battery is above 13.2V and stops if voltage drops below 12.8V. Overcharge protection: will automatically adjust the alternator output charge current to avoid overcharging of your battery. Temperature protection: the ‘dynamic thermal output control’ limits the charge current to reduce the temperature. Short circuit protection: automatic shutdown with short circuit. Charge indicator: LED indicator shows charge status. Warranty: two years. It provides a reliable output of 12.6V and a maximum of 13A, ensuring efficient and safe charging performance. Equipped with advanced features, the Range Extender continuously monitors the voltage in the starter battery to prevent accidental discharge. It also regulates the alternator output current as needed and delivers the correct charging profile (voltage, current) to safely charge your 12V-AV battery. Thanks to the built-in LED indicator, you can easily monitor the charging status of your battery at a glance. Compatible with leading outboard brands such as Honda, Yamaha, Mercury, and Suzuki, this Range Extender model ensures compatibility and seamless integration with your existing setup. Please note: for optimal functionality, ensure that the alternator of your outboard engine delivers a minimum output of 15A, as the Range Extender will not operate otherwise. This Range Extender (12.6V13A) is only suitable for use with Rebelcell 12V AV batteries (12V70 AV and up!).  Check our webshop for applicable models for 24V and 36V Range Extenders.    PLEASE REVIEW THE BELOW INFORMATION BEFORE COMPLETING YOUR ORDER The Range Extender is only suitable for use with (outboard) engines that meet the minimum alternator output requirements as indicated before. It is NOT suitable for use with (outboard) engines that use a charging coil instead of an alternator: the capacity is not sufficient to charge both the starter battery and Rebelcell battery. Consult the manual of your (outboard) engine for this information. Lower than specified charge current from the alternator will lead to de-activation of the Range Extender to avoid discharge of the starter battery. The Range Extender works with both lead-acid and LiFePO4 starter batteries (attention: minimum requirements for LiFePO4 battery capacity is 50A). Mount the Range Extender in accordance with the installation guidelines (in user manual) in a dry and cool place with sufficient space around for ventilation and cooling. Never mount it on the bottom of your boat or in a location that does not remain dry. Only use the Range Extender with the suitable Rebelcell 12V AV battery (12V70 AV batteries and up)! Using it with a different battery can lead to irreversible damage to your equipment and battery. This damage is explicitly excluded from warranty. Additional connectors (not included) for the input cable are required to connect the Range Extender to the starter battery.
