A large bronze Art Deco desk seal showing a bear. This stunning large scale desk seal was made in around 1920. It is solid bronze and of considerable weight, being of a larger scale than most other desk seals, suggesting the importance of its function to its original owner. It pleasingly retains its original presentation case. The seal shows a beautifully sculpted bear in simple yet elegant form, typical of the period. The seal has an occupied matrix with interlocked letters, however a new matrix may be applied making it suitable for contemporary use should this be desired. This magnificent seal stands 11.5cm high, is 5.5cm at its widest point and 2.5 cm at its deepest. (Measurements approximate). The seal comes supplied in its original fitted case as may be seen in the photographs. It is in excellent condition, showing only light wear appropriate to its age and substance. It has no damage and no restoration.
